Stretching Before Bed
Stretching before bed is beneficial for everyone, but especially for those who have trouble falling asleep or have nights full of restless sleep. Stretching before bed relieves muscle tension, prevents nocturnal muscles(specifically in the legs), de-stresses the body and mind, provides more restful sleep, and helps your body recover and regenerate.
Variety is Key
People often come to the gym and participate in the same program, routine or class each visit. Sometimes our bodies get too comfortable with the same movements over and over again. The sickle cell gene causes the body to produce abnormal hemoglobin, resulting in red blood cells changing from round to crescent shape, known as sickling.
Benefits of Yoga
Yoga is a phenomenal way to stay active or kickstart your fitness routine, but yoga is filled with many amazing benefits. When I began practicing, I joined a class to get back into shape. For me, this was a comfortable transition and not intimidating. As my fitness routine became more regimented over time, I continued with yoga, finding a great benefit in some of the deep stretching.
Don’t Have Time for a Full Workout? “Sneak” it in Instead!
Finding time is one of the biggest challenges of working out. Work and family commitments are consuming and derail our best efforts to exercise. Clients and family members have often told me, “If I can’t get at least an hour workout in, what’s the point? I might as well not workout at all.”

As reported by a survey administered by the FDA, nearly 80% of American adults consume some form of caffeine on a daily basis, but do they consume safely?
