Skin Cancer Awareness Month occurred in May, which brought a great Health Talk to Granger, Jaimee Kamp from Beacon Dermatology. Did you know one blistering sunburn in childhood doubles a person’s risk for developing melanoma? Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States. 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Since on a cloudy day, up to 80% of the sun’s UV rays penetrate the clouds, sunscreen should be applied daily throughout the entire year!
