I had my right hip replaced one year ago and although I exercise regularly and feel very strong, my right leg is now weaker than my left. This Pilates class has been perfect for strengthening both legs but most importantly my right. Most of the traditional exercise I do involves the large muscles and working both legs at the same time. The beauty of Pilates is it forces you to work each leg individually in a unique way. The class also focuses on those small muscle groups that usually don't see much action and since taking this class mine have begun to respond. The other thing I love about the class is that it is small enough for us to get a lot of individual attention and no one is better than Del for continual monitoring and adjusting of our workout! I can feel definite improvement in just six weeks and would absolutely sign up for this class again!

I’ve been enjoying my first session of Pilates for Joint Replacement class. Although I am 5.5 months out from my second knee replacement & a year out from my first knee replacement, I feel that I still need to gain in areas of balance, flexibility & single side strength. Del has been marvelous at focusing in on these areas & the tower attachment on the reformers seems to be particularly useful. I still see myself making progress each week. I look forward to enrolling & making more progress in the next session.
