New Information Regarding Masks at Beacon Health & Fitness

The safety of our members, associates and guests is our highest priority and has been since the beginning of the pandemic.  CDC recommendations continue to guide our thinking at the local level as Beacon leadership reviews these recommendations.

With vaccination rates increasing daily both locally and nationally, decreasing infection rates and declining hospitalizations, and in alignment with St. Joseph and Elkhart County policies, we are pleased to announce the following updated policy regarding masks at all three (3) of our Beacon Health & Fitness locations:

Effective immediately, for individuals who are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, wearing a mask is optional.  In accordance with CDC guidance, unvaccinated individuals should continue to wear a mask.

In addition, our 24-hour access facilities in Granger and Elkhart will re-open Tuesday, June 1.

Our social distancing efforts remain in place, as do other steps we’ve taken to help create a safer environment for everyone in our buildings.

The COVID-19 vaccine is a highly effective way to protect yourself, your family, friends, co-workers and our community against the ravages of this disease.  The millions of people who have already been vaccinated are helping us to begin re-opening our communities nationwide.  If you haven’t already, we urge you to get vaccinated.  To find a location that is convenient for you, please visit

We are so grateful to each of you—our members—for all that you’ve done to keep yourself and each other safer during this pandemic.  As we move to this next phase, we will continue to make safety our highest priority while also looking for opportunities to resume more normal operations as circumstances continue to change.
