Food & Snacks
Raisins and/or wheat crackers are provided if your child would like a snack and parents can bring snacks that are easy to eat. (Finger foods children can eat without help from babysitting associates are welcome, but the babysitting area is a NUT FREE STUDIO)
If your child brings a drink, please make sure there is a lid on the cup. Bottles are welcome, but mast be prepared ahead of time. We are able to refrigerate or microwave any food/drinks as well. Please let the babysitting attendant know if your child needs a bottle and/or has any food allergies.
Please do not bring children who have a contagious illness, temperature, or who feel nauseous into the Babysitting Room. If your child is taking an antibiotic, he or she must have taken it for at least 24 hours. The babysitting staff cannot administer medications or treatments of any kind.
Please be considerate to others and avoid bringing your children to the Beacon Health & Fitness Youth Activity Studio if they are not feeling well. We reserve the right to turn away sick children.
For your child’s safety, BHF must have a registration form completed on the first visit for each child using the Babysitting service. Each parent /legal guardian will sign his or her child in and out each visit. Children must be signed in and out by the same person unless staff is notified otherwise.
Parents must remain on the premises in case of an emergency.
Please have children in a clean diaper or training pants before they visit the Babysitting Room, and pack extras.
It may take a few visits before your child is comfortable staying in the Babysitting Room. We will try our best to make this transition as stress free as possible for the child. If a staff member is unable to comfort a crying child, the parent /guardian will be notified and expected to assist BHF staff. If the parent is called back to babysitting more than once, the parent will be asked to have the child removed for the day.
Inappropriate behavior such as biting, kicking, and hitting will result in parent notification and possible loss of babysitting privileges until the behavior is under control. Please assist staff with any behavior problems.
